About Achievement Chains

One day I stepped out of the shower and I realised that I had this idea to make a project called "Achievement Chains", so here it is.

The idea is that everyone can make their own chains and share with others. Then others can favorite/follow/add to their library and track their progress. Or just for yourself, if you want to plan your achievement journey and track it in a more visual way.

Why chains? There are many strategic (and not so strategic) games with hundreds of achievements, but there isn't always a clear way to know how to get to a certain achievement, or what milestones you'll certainly have to meet before reaching your final goal. This tool is meant to help with that by suggesting a path to the goals you choose, and letting you track your progress along that path.

On another day when I already had a big part of this project done, I wrote about it:

I want to build something about making achievements into meaningful journeys for someone who doesn't know where to start with a game. Or did the main story and doesn't know what to do next.

What else planned? Community Goals - like regular achievements but without its steam counterpart, to better navigate player along their journey. Social features - friends, favorites/bookmarks/likes/following/feed/commenting on individual achievements etc.

Is this an open-source project? Not at the moment, but I've been considering open-sourcing it after the initial launch if it gets traction and if there is interest in the community to contribute.

And who am I? I'm just someone who likes steam achievements... For questions and suggestions you can find me here.
